Vitamin D2 is used to treat hypoparathyroidism (decreased functioning of the parathyroid glands).

Vitamin D2 is also used to treat rickets (softening of the bones caused by vitamin D deficiency) or low levels of phosphate in the blood (hypophosphatemia).

Vitamin D2 Specification (USP27)

Properties Should be a white needle-shape crystal or white crystallized powder; give out no smell, no taste; be easy to lose activity in air or light. Standard Packing 500g/bag or per customer request
Identification 1. Dissolve about 0.5mg of vitamin D2 into 5ml chloroform, add 0.3ml acetic anhydride and 0.1ml sulfuric acid, shake and mix vigorously. The mixture is initially produced bright red color, and then rapidly changes violet and finally blue to green. Inventory Normally we have Vitamin D2, GMP certificated, USDMF in stock
