Vitamin D2 is used to treat hypoparathyroidism (decreased functioning of the parathyroid glands). Vitamin D2 is also used to treat rickets (softening of the bones caused by vitamin D deficiency) or low levels of phosphate in the blood (hypophosphatemia). |
